Yes. We've made it a priority to support commonly used printed document formats with packetTrap PSA. If your employees are carrying clipboards and don't use computers, you can still benefit from packetTrap PSA in the office. Just print out each employee's daily schedule and a familiar-looking service request form and off they go, doing work as usual.
Can my customers create service requests via packetTrap PSA?
Yes. packetTrap PSA provides your company with a free, customizable web page where your customers can submit requests for service. These requests are logged into your packetTrap PSA database, ready for import into your list of active service requests. You can even tell packetTrap PSA to send you an email every time a customer submits a request.
How do my customers check the status of service requests?
Our Customer Portal allows you to setup a personalized web page that your customers can use to request new service and check the status of requests they've already made. This is a critical tool for keeping your customers happy, and it gives your business a key competitive advantage!

How much training do we need?
packetTrap PSA has been designed with an intuitive interface that most users can pick up in a few hours with no formal training.
Can you transfer data from Outlook, QuickBooks and others?
Yes. packetTrap PSA can import customers, contacts, and materials, expenses, and labor items. There is a simple import process that is preconfigured to work easily with Outlook and QuickBooks. The system can also easily import data from many other sources that can export data in either CSV or tab-delimited files.
Can I customize packetTrap PSA for my business?
packetTrap PSA's customization capability brings a competitive advantage to your business that includes custom field additions, custom values, custom names, and a customized website for your customers to request service online.
How does packetTrap PSA handle access when I am on the road?
packetTrap PSA's powerful Alert capability can send text messages to your phone for events where you request this type of notification (e.g. schedule change for today). And since packetTrap PSA is available on the Web, you can log-in with your username and password from any computer with Internet access.
What if I need special assistance with converting and importing data?
While our import tools allow you to load the most common types of data into packetTrap PSA yourself, we offer services to assist in special conversions of data if needed. Yes. Certain packetTrap PSA plans offer the ability to active SSL encryption for your account. When activated, all users from your company will be directed to a secure, encrypted connection with packetTrap PSA each time they login.

How reliable is your hosted service?
packetTrap PSA has partnered with Rackspace, a world-class hosting company that manages the network and server infrastructure to insure reliability, performance, and security for our customers’ data and services:
- The Network. The data center has high-bandwidth network connections consisting of three fiber rings with dual entry points. They have demonstrated over 99% network availability.
- Security and Monitoring. The data center is equipped with state-of-the-art security including card readers, biometrics, and intrusion detection. Environmental monitoring sensors detect variations in temperature and humidity, as well as smoke and other changes in critical areas. The on-site network operations center is staffed 24 x7 with expert personnel.
- Uninterruptible Power and HVAC: With a redundant, uninterruptible power system and backup generator, the data center is engineered to deliver seamless power and redundant HVAC systems to keep packetTrap PSA up and running and available to you.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. All of the data in your packetTrap PSA account is backed-up nightly and multiple copies of the backups are retained in order to facilitate quick restoration in the unlikely event of a system failure.
How scalable are packetTrap PSA's applications?
packetTrap PSA's applications have the capacity to scale to an enterprise of any size. The architecture behind packetTrap PSA was designed from the ground up to support thousands of users and companies.
