VMware Support Statement

Not only does PacketTrap Networks support VMware technology through our Virtualization Module; but we also support customers who deploy PacketTrap Perspective running on supported Operating Systems in a VMware ESX virtual machine environment.

PacketTrap Networks will provide unqualified support for PacketTrap Perspective Server and PacketTrap Perspective Studio running in a VMware virtual environment in an identical manner as with these products running on a physical x86 based system without initially requiring reproduction of issues on native hardware. Should PacketTrap Networks suspect that the virtualization layer is the root cause of an issue, customers will be required to contact the appropriate VMware support provider to resolve the VMware issue.

Please Note: While PacketTrap Perspective is expected to function properly in a VMware virtual environment, there may be performance implications which may require modification to our standard sizing recommendations.
