We are getting a large amount of patch management failures on our nightly reports. Some are due to the inability to install due to "user intervention required", others do not state a reason.
We need to have this corrected, as we can no longer state that we perform patch management.
Since the inception of using Packettrap, which claims to have patch management capabilities, the patch management has never been reliable.
When we used to use Kaseya, they had a method of installing these patches, even ones which required user intervention, and it was successful. It even allowed us to control reboot schedules for patches that required that type of action.
Client are catching on to the fact that it’s unreliable, and they are having to run windows updates manually, then calling me to question why we aren’t doing it as the product advertises.
Please provide us with a solution to correct this.
Are any other users out there experiencing the same issue? Does anyone have a resolution for this problem?
We have tried to let PT management run the patches, and also set windows automatic updates run, and neither has seemed to work.
I'm looking for any feedback to this problem and hoping that maybe anyone else in the community can share their experiences with this.
Hopefully there will be a resolution out there.
