June 2, 2008: Perspective in 60 Days!

June 2nd, 2008

Perspective is coming August 1st, in less than 60 days! The product is in QA and our team is excited for its upcoming launch. We also continue to receive great feedback on the product from customers, partners, and generalists interested in the network management space.

If you don’t know, Perspective is a software based network troubleshooting and remediation platform which allows system / server and network management of an organization’s IT infrastructure, both locally and distributed. It auto-discovers system resources and their metrics, including hardware, operating systems, virtualization, databases, middleware, applications, SaaS (i.e., Salesforce.com) and services. Perspective allows an IT department to view the network from any users “perspective”, thus helping the IT network engineer or system admin to troubleshoot and repair bandwidth and connectivity issues.

Perspective watches hosts and services that the user specifies, auto-remediates problems, and alerts users when performance deviates from a user defined baseline. It also provides historical charting and event correlation for faster problem identification. The system is accessed via a web browser and /or a client application.

Perspective includes multi-locations (offices) and supports Exchange, SQL, all flavors of Windows, Unix, and Linux and, of course, Cisco, Juniper, Nortel etc. The advanced Cisco Netflow options allow you to peek into packets as they’re flowing across your network to pinpoint bandwidth and connectivity issues.

Perspective will start at $1,495 and goes up to about $10k depending on the number of nodes under management.

To get on our beta tester / early test list, just send Steve Rodman an email at srodman@PacketTrap.com.

Networks are complicated; network management doesn’t have to be.
